What DocumentsCan Be Notarized?

A comprehensive guide to the types of documents that can be notarized — and what you need to bring to your appointment.

What Does Notarization Actually Do?

Notarization is the official fraud-deterrent process that assures the parties of a transaction that a document is authentic. A notary public verifies the identity of the signer, witnesses the signing, and applies an official seal to confirm the document's authenticity. It does not mean the notary is approving the content of the document.
